While you're reading this blog know that I have written it while trying to get my 10,000 steps into an hour on the treadmill as my children are at after school activities.
We know first hand when you're up against it at work, spending any moment away from your desk feels like a waste of time and it's easy to take the attitude that exercise is a luxury you can't afford.
However, did you know that skipping a workout is costing you more time than it saves?
The idea of preparing a gym bag, trudging to the local gym, working out, bathing, changing, then slogging back home takes a lot of time and effort.
Nevertheless, no matter how packed your work week is, you aren’t doing yourself a favour by disregarding your health. Your productivity and efficiency at work may suffer if you neglect to exercise, since you’re compromising both your physical and mental health.
Taking just an hour a day can change your mindset - getting a change of scenery sometimes reboots your mindset for work and makes you more productive. Even if you are hating the workout while you're doing it. Those endorphins hit differently after.
Deep down I am crying while pushing my way through this workout BUT I know I'll feel great after.
Come join me in feeling energised and ready to face whatever challenges come your way.
