Wednesday thoughts

Published on February 12

While stress has become an ever-present and unwelcome companion at work, there are often certain situations or days of the week that feel more difficult than others. We hear you - sometimes personal stresses impact into your work - you might not mean to bring outside upsets into work place but you're human after all - it happens.

Perched between the hectic start and looming finish of each week, Wednesdays often become the epicenter of workplace pressure.

While Wednesday’s feelings and concerns likely look a bit different for everyone, there are a few common factors that contribute to heightened stress or anxiety in the workplace in the middle of the week:

Workload

Midweek burnout

Time constraints

Achieving KPIs

Balancing family commitments

In terms of your mental well-being, you might find yourself getting more irritable, which can spill over into your interactions with colleagues, friends, and family members. The constant pressures at work could also contribute to feelings of anxiety and depression.

So before things get out of hand remember to take a minute (easier said then done we know) step away from the laptop and speak up sometimes things can be easily rectified and if they aren't dont feel like you can't start job hunting - which also can be stressful but this is what we're here for.

We are here to try and aid those stresses and make your job hunt at least a little easier.

We might not be able to help with everything but we are certainly here to help with that one added stress.

Remember your mental health matters and so does being happy in a job.
