Elite Touch Group are excited to be working with their well-established client who are seeking a Paralegal to join their busy team, based at their Tiverton office
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- A Level education a minimum but preference of a Law Degree
- Computer keyboard skills
AREAS OF WORK:
Paralegal work:
- To assist lawyers with their workload, and to maintain own workload
- To prepare bundles for court, assist lawyers with their photocopying & filing
- To deal with Helpline and New Enquiry calls
- To manage all client work in accordance with detailed procedures and quality standards contained in the firm’s Office Manual.
- To ensure that all client work is progressed expeditiously and that the client is kept regularly informed on progress and on costs.
- At all times to exercise high standards of client care in a professional and pleasant manner.
- To ensure the confidentiality and security of all of the firm’s and client documentation and information.
- To achieve agreed levels of billing and time recording.
- To comply with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and the Rules on the Professional Conduct of Solicitors.
- To maintain clear and precise communications with other personnel of the firm.
- To ensure good working relationships with external institutions and organisations.
- To take responsibility for and attend to self-development.
- In conjunction with the firm, to comply with the relevant training requirements of the SRA
- In liaison with Head of department and other partners, to be active in promoting the services of the firm and its image and ethos.
Administrator work:
- To deal with visitors/clients in person and on the telephone
- Filing, photocopying, scanning and post
- Ordering for the office
- Opening and closing of files
