Legal Assistant

Our well-established client has a fantastic opportunity for a Legal Assistant to join their busy Private Client team, based at their Fleet office.

This is a junior assistant role to start, but with the possibility of progression and training for the right candidate.

Purpose

To assist and support fee earners with secretarial and administrative duties.

The Role

• Providing typing and administration support to one or more lawyers

• Audio typing (BigHand)

• Opening and closing files

• Diary management, preparing lawyers for external meetings

• Carry out money laundering and ID checks

• Typing of legal documents, Wills, LPA’s, Estate Accounts

• Witnessing wills

• Liaise with Clients, Solicitors , Barristers Chambers

• Attend client meetings

• Assist with preparation of invoices

• Taking credit card payments

• Booking events, training etc

• Assist with the marketing of the department

The Candidate

• Ideally you will possess recent Private Client experience

• Experience with all Microsoft Office packages, excellent Audio Typing skills

• The ability to work to tight deadlines

• Attention to detail

• Ability to work under pressure

• Strong organisational skills

• Excellent communications skills and a team player.
