Elite Touch Group are excited to be working with their well-established client who are seeking a Paralegal to join their busy team, based at their Tiverton office

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

A Level education a minimum but preference of a Law Degree
Computer keyboard skills

AREAS OF WORK:

Paralegal work:

To assist lawyers with their workload, and to maintain own workload
To prepare bundles for court, assist lawyers with their photocopying & filing
To deal with Helpline and New Enquiry calls
To manage all client work in accordance with detailed procedures and quality standards contained in the firm’s Office Manual.
To ensure that all client work is progressed expeditiously and that the client is kept regularly informed on progress and on costs.
At all times to exercise high standards of client care in a professional and pleasant manner.
To ensure the confidentiality and security of all of the firm’s and client documentation and information.
To achieve agreed levels of billing and time recording.
To comply with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and the Rules on the Professional Conduct of Solicitors.
To maintain clear and precise communications with other personnel of the firm.
To ensure good working relationships with external institutions and organisations.
To take responsibility for and attend to self-development.
In conjunction with the firm, to comply with the relevant training requirements of the SRA
In liaison with Head of department and other partners, to be active in promoting the services of the firm and its image and ethos.

Administrator work:

To deal with visitors/clients in person and on the telephone
Filing, photocopying, scanning and post
Ordering for the office
Opening and closing of files
